Application to Teach in a Discipline Other than the One in Which the Faculty Member was Originally Hired. The faculty member who satisfies the minimum requirements for employment in a discipline(s) for which he/she was not originally hired must apply to teach in that discipline. If courses are available, the faculty member may teach in such discipline(s) on a trial basis for up to two years (beginning with the first assignment) without being recognized. Within sixty days after the completion of the two-year trial period, the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ shall notify the faculty member, in writing, whether the faculty member is to be recognized. If the faculty member is denied recognition, the ▇▇▇▇’▇ notification shall include an explanation of the reasons for this decision.
