Common use of Approval of Substitution Clause in Contracts

Approval of Substitution. The Director, Department of Public Works’ decision of approval or disapproval of a proposed substitution shall be in his sole discretion and shall be final. If the Director, Department of Public Works approves any proposed substitution, such approval will be set forth in an addendum issued to all recorded bidders. Bidders shall not rely on approvals made in any other manner.
