Area of Assignment. In order to ensure that students are taught by teachers working within their areas of competence, teachers shall not be assigned, except in accordance with regulations of the Bylaws of the Maryland State Board of Education and, in an emergency, to subjects or classes outside the scope of their teaching certificates, their major or minor fields of study or areas in which the teacher is not prepared to teach.

Area of Assignment. (a) Areas of assignment shall be understood to mean a particular linear accelerator, simulator, mould room, brachytherapy, calculation station, QA, clinical trials, patient review, orthovoltage, cyberknife, treatment planning and/or other rotational positions as designated by management. (b) Employees shall submit their interest to be placed on a list to be considered for a specific area of assignment. The Hospital shall make this list available to employees. (c) Full-time and regular part-time employees’ area of assignment shall be established by the Hospital and posted for employees at least three (3) months in advance. (d) Where, for operational reasons, alterations to the area of assignment must be made, the Hospital will advise the employee so affected as soon as is reasonably possible.

Area of Assignment. All persons appointed to positions within this bargaining unit shall be required to take and pass the applicable Civil Service Examination for that classification. All appointments and promotions shall be in accordance with Civil Service eligibility criteria. The District reserves the right to reassign employee within the same title.
Area of Assignment. After June 30, 2006, teachers should not be assigned outside the scopes of their teaching certificate and NCLB “highly qualified areas, except temporarily and for good cause. The parties further agree that once a teacher has been recognized as “highly qualified” in a content area, the District will not involuntarily transfer said teacher outside his/her content area.

Area of Assignment. Every effort will be made to assign bargaining unit members within their area of competence and/or within their major or minor field of study. When an assignment must be made outside a teacher's area of competence and/or within their major or minor field of study, the following procedure must be followed: a. A meeting of all concerned individuals will be held to discuss the need for the assignment. b. A volunteer for the assignment will be sought. Volunteers will be given serious consideration for the assignment. c. If no volunteer is forthcoming, the assignment will be made on a seniority basis, if possible. d. If the administration finds it necessary to make the assignment on a basis other than to the person who volunteered or on the basis of seniority, it must provide the involved bargaining unit member and the president of the FTA detailed reasons for the assignment, in writing.

  • Right of Assignment No consent shall be required pursuant to Clause 17.1 in the case of an assignment by a Party to an Affiliate provided that: (a) the Affiliate is technically capable of performing the Party’s obligations under this Agreement; and (b) the assigning Party shall not be relieved of any obligations that such Affiliate fails to perform.

  • DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT The scope of services of this Assignment shall be completed no later than August 31, 2023, unless terminated earlier as provided in Section 3.2 of the Agreement. The schedule is subject to adjustments for possible time extension; however, any extension of time must be approved by the TFC and shall require an amendment to Assignment No. 1.

  • Notice of Assignment Upon its receipt and acceptance of a duly executed and completed Assignment Agreement, any forms, certificates or other evidence required by this Agreement in connection therewith, Administrative Agent shall record the information contained in such Assignment Agreement in the Register, shall give prompt notice thereof to Company and shall maintain a copy of such Assignment Agreement.

  • Termination of Assignment Citizens and the Firm may each terminate a specific assignment or all assignments held by the Firm, at any time upon advanced written notice. Citizens may also reassign any matter at any time upon advanced written notice.
