The 'Assistant Principals' clause defines the roles, responsibilities, and authority of assistant principals within an educational institution. Assistant Principals. The District shall pay to each assistant principal an allowance of $5,772 effective September 1, 2007. Where an assistant principal is appointed, the position is in addition to the normal administrative staff allocation.
Assistant Principals. 4.4.1 When a teacher is appointed to be an assistant principal, the teacher shall receive an allowance equal to 60% of the allowance that the principal of that school receives.
4.4.2 Effective September 1, 2011, any reference in this Agreement to a vice-principal is deemed to include assistant principal.
4.4.3 Notwithstanding 4.4.2, every teacher who holds the position of assistant principal on or before September 1, 2011 shall receive an allowance equal to 60% of the allowance that the teacher would receive if the teacher were principal of the school.

4.2.1.3 Teachers who are designated as assistant principals in non-school administrative assignments will be paid 50 per cent of an allowance calculated on the basis of a 500 full- time regular elementary student count. However, clause 4.3.2 applies.
