ATHLETE. Athlete’s Signature Date ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ High Performance Director Bobsleigh CANADA Skeleton Athletes representing the National Bobsleigh and Skeleton Team are expected to conduct themselves in a dignified and responsible manner at all times, maintaining respect and consideration towards the public, the coaches and other athletes. This code outlines the expectations and obligations regarding behaviour during all National Team activities. Infractions of the BCS Code of Conduct will result in the imposition of disciplinary sanctions that are reasonable and proportionate to the indiscretion in conduct being addressed. Enforcement of the Code of Conduct may be the responsibility of the National Coach or the team leader for that specific team and shall be conducted as per the BCS Dispute policy. The following are the Base Elements of the Standard of Conduct to which team members should hold themselves to for the betterment of the team and it is expected that all team members will conduct themselves in the following manner while representing themselves and Bobsleigh CANADA Skeleton:
ATHLETE. Athlete represents and warrants that: (i) he/she is a member of USA Swimming in good standing and shall continue to be a member in good standing throughout the Term; (ii) he/she is eligible to represent US in international competitions; (iii) he she has either exhausted his/her NCAA eligibility or has relinquished any future eligibility, as evidenced by his/her signing of the NCAA eligibility relinquishment form provided by USA Swimming; (iv) he/she is currently, and will throughout the Term remain, affiliated with, or a member of, a USA Swimming-member club. (v) he/she will comply with the USA Swimming Code of Conduct and all USA Swimming rules and regulations throughout the Term; (vi) he/she will comply with all doping control rules, guidelines and deadlines; and (vii) he/she will conduct himself/herself (i) in a way that does not damage or diminish in any way USA Swimming’s public image or goodwill, and (ii) with due regard to public conventions and morals. Athlete further represents and warrants that he/she will not engage in the use of illegal drugs or prohibited substances or otherwise bring himself/herself into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule.
ATHLETE expressly understands that ATHLETE hereby waives the provisions of California Civil Code, Section 1542, which provides as follows:
