Background and Context. 2.1 The LCO is one of the pillars described in the Bury Locality Plan, being responsible for providing high quality, person-centred, integrated care and support to local people, enabling the greatest improvement in outcomes, whilst also reducing cost. 2.2 This will involve a fundamental shift in the way in which health and social care services interact, and the staff who are in scope of the LCO will work in a much more integrated way, delivering new models of care through integrated team working. Staff however, will remain employees of their respective organisations on their current terms and conditions of service.
