Batching and Mixing. The location and preparation of the sites for the stock pilling of aggregates the maximum size of stock piles and the method adopted to prevent segregation of coarse and fine material shall be subject to the approval of the Superintending Engineer. Each separate size of coarse aggregates shall be stock piled separately. The aggregate shall be handled from the stock piles to the batching plant in such a manner as to secure a typical grading of the material. Aggregates that have become mixed with earth of foreign material shall be used only after washing and cleaning. All washed aggregates shall be stocked for draining atleast 12 hours before being batched. After determining the proportions of ingredients for the field mix, the fine aggregate and each separated size of coarse aggregate shall be proportioned and placed into the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ of the mixer along with necessary quantity of ceme[1t. Ct'ment shall be measured by the bag per by weight. At batching or mixing of materials as far as possible shall be on the basis of one or more whole bags of cement. rhe Superintending Engineer may permit the use of fractional bags of cement in a manner meeting with the approval. Water may be measured either by volume or by weight. The contents of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall then be emptied into the drum of the approved mixer taking care to prevent possible loss of c.ement by being blown away in high wing. The aggregate and the cement shall be thoroughly mixed in the mixer for a period of not less than one minute during which time the drum shall make not less than 16, not more than 20 revolutions per minute. The water shall be introduced in a uniform manner during the first 15 seconds of the mixing period. The mixing time may be extended if necessary to obtain thorough mixing and uniform consistency. Any concrete mixed less than the specified mixing time shall be rejected and disposed off by the contractor at his expense. The entire contents of the drum shall be discharged before any materials are placed therein for the succeeding batch. The skip and throat of the drum shall be kept free of accumulation. The volume of material mixed per batch shall not exceed the manufacture's rated capacity of the drum. The mixer shall be placed as close to the part of the structure being concreted as possible. Batching and Mixing. Aggregates and cement shall be measured by weight. The weight of aggregate shall be based on a saturated surface dry condition corrected for free moisture. Water shall be measured by weight or volume and admixtures shall be measured by volume. Each batch of concrete shall be mixed separately in a pan or counter-flow mixer. No water shall be added to concrete after discharge from the mixer. The quantity of each material used in each batch of concrete shall be automatically recorded.

  • Switching and Tagging Rules The Developer and Connecting Transmission Owner shall each provide the other Party a copy of its switching and tagging rules that are applicable to the other Party’s activities. Such switching and tagging rules shall be developed on a nondiscriminatory basis. The Parties shall comply with applicable switching and tagging rules, as amended from time to time, in obtaining clearances for work or for switching operations on equipment.

  • CUTTING AND PATCHING OF WORK 4.14.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for all cutting, fitting or patching that may be required to complete the Work or to make its several parts fit together properly. 4.14.2 The Contractor shall not damage or endanger any portion of the Work or the work of the State or any separate contractors by cutting, patching or otherwise altering any work, or by excavation. The Contractor shall not cut or otherwise alter the work of the State or any separate contractor except with the written consent of the State and of such separate contractor. The Contractor shall not unreasonably withhold from the State or any separate contractor his consent to cutting or otherwise altering the Work.

  • CUTTING AND PATCHING The Contractor shall be responsible for cutting, fitting or patching required to complete the Work or to make its parts fit together properly.

  • Quality Service Standards Price Services and the Fund may from time to time agree to certain quality service standards, as well as incentives and penalties with respect to Price Services’ Services hereunder.

  • Synchronization, Commissioning and Commercial Operation 5.1.1 The SPG shall give PGVCL at least thirty (30) days’ advanced preliminary written notice and at least fifteen (15) days’ advanced final written notice, of the date on which it intends to synchronize the Solar Power Project to the Grid System. 5.1.2 Subject to Article 5.1.1, the Power Project may be synchronized by the SPG to the Grid System when it meets all the connection conditions prescribed in applicable Grid Code then in effect and otherwise meets all other Indian legal requirements for synchronization to the Grid System. 5.1.3 The synchronization equipment and all necessary arrangements / equipment including RTU for scheduling of power generated from the Project and transmission of data to the concerned authority as per applicable regulation shall be installed by the SPG at its generation facility of the Power Project at its own cost. The SPG shall synchronize its system with the Grid System only after the approval of synchronization scheme is granted by the head of the concerned substation/ and checking/verification is made by the concerned authorities of the PGVCL. 5.1.4 The SPG shall immediately after each synchronization/tripping of generator, inform the sub-station of the Grid System to which the Power Project is electrically connected in accordance with applicable Grid Code. In addition, the SPG will inject in-firm power to grid from time to time to carry out operational/ functional test prior to commercial operation. For avoidance of doubt, it is clarified that Synchronization / Connectivity of the Project with the grid shall not to be considered as Commissioning of the Project. 5.1.5 The SPG shall commission the Project within nine (9) Months from the Date of execution of this PPA. Declaration of COD shall be certified by the commissioning committee. 5.1.6 The Parties agree that for the purpose of commencement of the supply of electricity by SPG to PGVCL, liquidated damages for delay etc., the Scheduled Commissioning Date as defined in this Agreement shall be the relevant date.
