BEREAVEMENT ALLOWANCE. 20.01 For each day that an employee is absent from work due solely to the death and funeral of his mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, spouse, child, sister or brother, he shall be paid an allowance amounting to his full regular daily straight time pay up to a maximum of three (3) working days including the day of the funeral. 20.02 In the event of the death of an employee’s grandfather, grandmother, grandchild, brother- in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law or daughter-in-law, the employee will be paid on the basis of his regular hours at his normal straight time rate for the day of the funeral, and one additional day being either the day immediately before or the day immediately after the funeral.
