BEREAVEMENT PAY. 22.01 In the event of death in the immediate family of an employee, the employee will be granted leave of absence with pay, with consideration given to travel time for attending the funeral. The length of absence shall be up to three (3) days at the discretion of the Employer. The term ‘immediate family’ shall mean: spouse, parent, child, siblings, step-parent, step-child, step-sibling, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, child-in-law, grandparent, grandchildren, or any relative living in the household of the employee.
