Common use of Break Times Clause in Contracts

Break Times. ‌ Total break time shall be one (1) hr twenty (20) minutes. Employees shall have a choice for either two (2) x thirty (30) minute breaks and one (1) twenty (20) minute break or four (4) x twenty (20) minute breaks; these requests will not be unreasonable denied. Rest periods may be adjusted in length, by mutual agreement between an employee and their supervisor, as long as the total rest period does not exceed one (1) hour and twenty (20) minutes. Employees remain on-call during breaks in the event of emergencies on site. Therefore, all breaks are paid the employees regular rate.

Employees remain on-on call during breaks in the event of emergencies on site. Therefore, all breaks employees are paid the employees their regular raterate of pay for all breaks.
