Common use of Breaks in Service Clause in Contracts

Breaks in Service. The following situations shall not constitute a break in continuous service but employees shall not accrue seniority while in the status of any of the following:‌ A. Absence while on approved leave of absence; B. Military leave; or; C. A layoff of 18 months duration or less.
