Bridging of Service. If a regular Employee terminates after August 1, 1979, as a result of a decision to raise a dependent child or dependent children, and is re-employed, upon application they shall be credited with length of service accumulated at time of termination for the purpose of benefits based on service seniority. The following conditions shall apply: (a) The Employee must have been a regular Employee with at least three (3) years of service seniority at time of termination; (b) The resignation must indicate the reason for termination; (c) The break in service shall be for no longer than six (6) years; and during that time the Employee must not have been engaged in remunerative employment for more than six (6) months; (d) The previous length of service shall not be reinstated until successful completion of the probationary period on re-employment.
