Common use of Call-Out Compensation Clause in Contracts

Call-Out Compensation. Members of the Police Service shall be compensated for the actual time worked at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular hourly rate or for three (3) hours, whichever is greater, when called out for service during off-duty time. The call-out overtime shall be compensated by either pay at time and one-half (1-1/2) or compensatory time off. The patrol officer involved in call-out shall advise the Department Head of his or her choice of compensation.
