Calldown Contract Signature Sample Clauses

The Calldown Contract Signature clause establishes the requirements and procedures for formally executing a contract through the collection of signatures from designated parties. Typically, this clause outlines who is authorized to sign, the acceptable methods of signature (such as electronic or wet ink), and the sequence in which signatures must be obtained if applicable. By clearly defining the signature process, the clause ensures that the contract is validly executed and legally binding, thereby preventing disputes over the authenticity or authority of the signatories.

The Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) movement was launched by the Secretary General of the United Nations, the Secretary of State of the USA, and the then Foreign Minister of Ireland in September 2010 to address the neglected crisis of under nutrition. In Zambia, stunting in children under five years of age is above 45%, with some provinces having prevalence rates higher than the national average. Moderate and severe stunting levels show increasing rates among children 6-18 months of age. This pattern continues and dramatically increases to 59% between 18–23 months (ZDHS 2007). Stunting rates in Zambia are higher than average for Africa (42%). The problem is persistent, showing no significant downward trend during the past two decades (ZDHS, 1992 & 2007). Stunted children at 24 months often suffer permanent losses to health, growth, learning capacity and productivity throughout their life time. At national level, high child stunting prevalence has a major negative impact on national economic development. Among the major contributors to stunting in Zambia are poor maternal and child nutrition, and high levels of infection. Undernourished mothers tend to have low birth babies. About 9% of new-borns Zambia weight less than 2.5 kg. The Scale Up Nutrition (SUN) movement aims to achieve normal height for weight for every child on this key 1,000 day period of development and growth between pregnancy and two years. The concept of 1,000 Critical Days is gaining rapid acceptance in countries working on SUN activities, giving a “human face” to the SUN movement and related national interventions and programmes. In an effort to reduce stunting levels in Zambia, the 2011-2015 National Development Plan gives special priority to multi-sector collaboration on food and nutrition with the objective of preventing stunting in children under two years of age.
