Cessation of Annual Leave, Transition Time Period to Use Annual Leave. ‌ A. Effective December 23, 2016, employees no longer accrue Annual Leave. Instead, employees accrue Sick Leave and Vacation time pursuant to Article IV, Section 1 and Article V. B. Annual leave that has been accumulated prior to the adoption of this MOU may be retained, provided however, that an employee who needs to use Sick Leave or Vacation must first use accrued Annual Leave prior to use of Sick Leave or Vacation. Employees who leave County service will be paid for accrued Annual Leave consistent with the provisions of Section 4 of this Article.
