Cessation of Annual Leave, Transition Time Period to Use Annual Leave. A. Employees will no longer accrue annual leave. Instead, employees will accrue sick leave and vacation time pursuant to Article V, Section 1 and Article VI. B. Annual Leave that has been accumulated prior to the adoption of this MOU may be retained, provided however, that an employee who needs to use sick leave or vacation must first use accrued annual leave prior to use of sick leave or vacation, until all annual leave has been taken, except for the forty (40) Vacation hours that may be used pursuant to Article VI, Section 2.B.
