Chair Responsibility. The Company and the Union will alternate in filling the Chair from meeting to meeting. Chair Responsibility. The chair of the committee shall alternate between the two chairpersons, one chairperson appointed by the Employer committee and one chairperson appointed by CUPE. The person appointed as chairperson shall serve a term commencing with the close of the meeting at which his or her appointment is announced and will continue to the end of the next meeting.

B-1 Route bid packages to be distributed to all drivers once a year at the start of November:
a) Routes built at an average of 10 hours per day over a 4 day work week;
b) Drivers are required to work the full shift unless excused at the discretion of management;
c) Some daily routes may be over 10 hours where the additional hours may be subject to weekly overtime;
d) A driver can request a route audit if the route is consistently and regularly greater than 10 hours. This may create a situation where the route will be re-structured to remain as close to the 10 hour limit as possible. This will not create a re-bid situation;
e) Route packages may be a combination of customer collection stops, and domicile location switches;
f) Route bids will be distributed from October 1st – Dec 15th.
B-2 Drivers will be contacted during Q4 each year to select their preferred route based on seniority
a) Drivers must qualify for the route they are bidding on based on their driver license classification;
b) Drivers must be able to fully perform the route they are bidding on (i.e. not have existing restrictions from customer or 3rd party sites);
c) Drivers that select the “spare” route selection must be flexible with their availability to perform routes 7 days a week to fulfill the requirements of the “spare” position.
B-3 The route bid procedure is in place in order to improve productivity and customer service through drivers and customers gaining familiarity with each other. Routes may be changed if there is a situation where the route is dissolved.
B-4 For our Ottawa facility, in the event there is an OT sign-up sheet for statutory holiday routes, the position of “Spare/warehouse” can only perform a route after all other regular route drivers have had the opportunity to sign up for OT based on the regular driver seniority. Only after the regular drivers have had the opportunity to sign up for statutory holiday OT can the “spare/warehouse” position sign up for an overtime route.

Regular full-time personnel, CIT Nights, CIT Days, ABM Servicers and In-Plant shall bid for the assigned blocks of runs and positions under the terms and conditions herein- after set forth:
1. In November of each year, unless a bid has taken place within five (5) months prior, to be implemented in January of the following year, all regular full-time employees shall be eligible to bid for assignment to the blocks of runs set up by the Company including In- Plant work. The Company will post all blocks of work for each department at least two (2) weeks in advance of the signup. All employees will be given a designat- ed time to bid and in the presence of the union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will have fifteen (15) minutes to decide their preferred bid; failing that, the employee will have the right to bid again when all other regular full-time employees have bid; if the employee still wishes not to bid, then he/she will be demoted to casual. Any employee who at the time of the bid, for whatever reason, who’s expected date of return to work exceeds fifteen (15) weeks from the date of bid, shall not have the right to bid until the next bid period. Should the em- ployee return to work during the bid, he will revert to the Spare status for the duration of that bid posted with that department that the employee came from.
2. Employees who bid for such blocks must be qualified (have the ability) to perform all duties required in the classification in which they bid.

a) The Company agrees to participate in the Teamsters Defined Contribution (D.C.) Pension Plan to the extent only of the contributions set out in this Article.
b) As of July 1, 2012 the Company will contribute 5% of total gross earnings per month for each full- time member of the bargaining unit who has one year of seniority or more. The Company shall forward all contributions monthly together with a list of all eligible members being reported each month within twenty (20) days of the end of the work month. The Union may file a grievance with the Company if contributions are not remitted by the due date.
