Check Card. You may use your Card to purchase goods and services any place your Card is honored by participating merchants. Funds to cover your Card purchases will be deducted from your checking account. If the balance in your account is not sufficient to pay the transaction amount, the Credit Union may treat the transaction as an overdraft request pursuant to the overdraft protection plan or may terminate all services under the Agreement.

If you wish to pay for goods or services over the Internet, you may be required to provide card number security information before you will be permitted to complete the transaction. You agree that you will not use your card for any transaction that is illegal under applicable federal, state, or local law. For ATM and one-time debit card transactions, you must consent to the Credit Union’s overdraft protection plan in order for the transaction amount to be covered under the plan. Check Card. The Check Card is not a credit card and no commitment to extend credit will be made by issuance of the Check Card. Once the card is issued, any ATM card on the account will be cancelled. You may use your Card to: • Perform ATM Card transactions as described above. • Make POS transactions with your Card and PIN to purchase goods or services at merchants that accept VISA®. • Order goods or services by mail, online, or telephone from places that accept VISA®. • Transfer funds between accounts. The following limitations on the frequency and amount of Check Card transactions may apply: • There is no limit to the number of Check Card purchases you can make each day directly from merchants or through POS terminals. • You may purchase up to a total of $1,500 each day with your Check Card (or the available funds in your account, if less than $1,500). • There is no limit to the number of cash withdrawals you can make each day from ATMs, nor to the number of cash advances you can make each day in person at participating institutions (subject to the withdrawal and cash advance limits below). • Your combined total of cash withdrawals at ATMs and/or cash advances made in person each day cannot exceed $500 (or the available funds in your account, if less than $500). Concierge members may be authorized for higher withdrawal limits. • You can transfer up to the available balance in your accounts at the time of transfer. Your check can result in an electronic funds transfer. This can happen in several ways. For example: • You can purchase goods or pay for services and authorize a merchant or service provider to convert your check into an electronic funds transfer. • At the time, you offer a check to the merchant or service provider, you may be asked to authorize the merchant or service provider to electronically collect a charge in the event a check is returned for insufficient funds. Paying such a fee electronically is an electronic funds transfer. Your authorization to make these types of electronic funds transfers may be expressed in writing or implied through the posting of a sign. Check Card. You may request a Check Lard by submitting to Banka completed Check Card Application (“Card Application”). The issuance and your use of the Check Card will be governed by the terms and conditions of the separate Check Card Agreement and Disclosure Statement (the "Card Agreement”). Upon approval by Bank of the Card Application, a Check Card, together with a copy of the Card Agreement, will be delivered to you. With your Check Card you will be able to withdraw funds from your Account. You may use your Check Card at participating Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and for point-of-sale transactions to purchase goods or services with merchants that accept VISA® cards. If you initiate a transaction that overdraws your account, you agree to make immediate payment of any overdrafts together with any service charges to the Credit Union. In the event of repeated overdrafts, the Credit Union may terminate all services under this Agreement. You may use your Card and PIN (Personal Identification Number) in automated teller machines of the Credit Union, Advantage, CO-OP and PULSE Networks, and such other machines or facilities as the Credit Union may designate. In addition, you may use your card without a PIN for certain transactions on the Visa and PULSE networks. However, provisions of this Agreement relating to Visa transactions do not apply to transactions processed through non-Visa networks. Check Card. The Check Card/ATM Card is the property of Heartland Credit Union and is subject to revocation at any time. It must be returned to us by you upon request. You agree that the Check Card/ATM Card issued to you may be impounded automatically by the Credit Union at any time at an automated terminal. You agree that you will be the only one to use the Check Card/ATM Card issued to you and that you will not divulge, give, or make available to any other person, even Credit Union employees, your PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (PIN) either directly or indirectly at any time.

  • The Card You acknowledge and agree that the Card is a general purpose multicurrency reloadable prepaid card. The Card is neither a gift card (nor intended to be used for gifting purposes), a credit card, nor a deposit account debit card. The monetary value accessible through use of the Card is limited to the funds that you have previously loaded to the Card or that have been loaded to the Card on your behalf by CAPES or CNPQ. The Card is not and does not access an individual bank “account” for purposes of certain laws and regulations (including, but not limited to, Regulation E and Regulation DD of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau). However, we may use the term “account” and related terms for convenience from time to time when communicating with you about the Card and transactions and inquiries made with the Card. You may access the funds loaded to the Card and perform Card transactions only as described in this Agreement. You cannot link the Card to any deposit or credit account that you may have with us or with any other financial institution, except as provided in this Agreement. You may not obtain or write checks or drafts to access Card funds. You will not receive any interest on funds loaded to the Card. In our sole discretion we may refuse to issue a Card to anyone for any reason. Your Card cannot be redeemed for cash. We may provide you with a non-personalized temporary Card for immediate use pending the delivery to you of a personalized Card bearing your name. The transactions and uses described in this Agreement are generally available for the temporary Card. However, because your name will not appear on the front of the temporary Card, merchants who require identity verification may be unwilling to accept a temporary Card. Notwithstanding any expiration date that may appear on the temporary Card, the temporary Card will no longer be valid for use upon the earlier of (i) 90 days after the issuance of the temporary Card or (ii) your activation of the personalized Card that is delivered to you. Upon activation of your personalized Card, any funds remaining on the temporary Card will be available on your personalized Card. By activating your personalized card you are accepting the Terms and Conditions of this product. Your Card may be loaded with funds in such currency or currencies as we may permit from time to time (each a “Card Currency”). If you use your Card in respect of a transaction in a Card Currency, the funds maintained on your Card in such Card Currency will be utilized for such transaction. If insufficient funds in such Card Currency exist on your Card, funds in other Card Currencies will be converted to the applicable transaction Card Currency in accordance with procedures outlined in Section 14 below. Transactions for which a currency is not referenced will be processed as a transaction in the default currency established for your Card (the “Default Card Currency”).
