Check-Off: Process and Procedures. a. The Union recognizes and agrees that the Corps’ obligation to deduct such is expressly restricted to making only such deductions as are permitted by law. b. Upon resignation, layoff or termination for cause, the Corps will deduct the current month’s dues from the employee’s final pay cheque and remit it to the Union. c. In the event that the Union alleges any violation by the Corps of this Article, notice of such alleged violation shall be given to the Corps in writing. If the matter is not resolved between the Corps and the Union, either party may then refer the issue to the grievance procedure.
