DURATION AND INTEGRITY OF AGREEMENT.
2.01 DURATION
(a) This Agreement shall be for the period from and including September 1, 2018 to and including August 31, 2021. Thereafter, the Agreement shall continue in full force and effect from year to year subject to the right of either party to serve notice to commence bargaining as provided for in the Labour Relations Code of British Columbia.
(b) During the period when negotiations are being conducted between the parties for the renewal of this Agreement, the present Agreement shall continue in full force and effect until:
i. the Union commences a legal strike; or
ii. the Employer commences a legal lockout, or
iii. the parties enter into a new or further Agreement.
(c) During the continuation period provided in (b) above, neither party shall attempt to take any action or make any changes in the terms and conditions of employment, which would be inconsistent with the express terms of this Agreement.
2.02 LABOUR RELATIONS CODE - SECTION 50(2) EXCLUDED The operation of Section 50 (2) and 50 (3) of the Labour Relations Code of British Columbia is hereby excluded.
