Common use of CHECK-OFF Clause in Contracts

CHECK-OFF. The Employer agrees to deduct on behalf of the Union, when requested in writing and accompanied by signed authorization cards, all initiation fees, regular monthly dues, assessment and levies, from and on behalf of all employees who are members of the Union from the employee's pay cheque each month. The Employer shall remit such deductions to the Executive Director of Operations of the Union prior to the twentieth (20th) day of the month following the calendar month in which such deduction is made, accompanied by a list of names, classifications and addresses of employees from whose wages the deductions have been made.
