CLASSIFICATION ANNIVERSARY DATE Clause Samples

The Classification Anniversary Date clause defines the specific annual date on which an employee’s job classification or employment status is reviewed or reset for administrative purposes. Typically, this date is used to determine eligibility for benefits, pay increases, or seniority calculations, and may be set based on the employee’s original hire date or another designated date. By establishing a clear anniversary date, the clause ensures consistency in applying employment policies and helps both employers and employees track important milestones and entitlements.
CLASSIFICATION ANNIVERSARY DATE. Classification anniversary date is defined as the effective date upon which an employee is assigned to a new classification and the date the employee is granted salary step advancement if eligible. For persons assigned to a classification during the first sixteen (16) days of the month, the anniversary date is the first of that month. If assigned to a classification after the sixteenth of the month, the anniversary date is the first of the next month. Classification dates will not change when employees change to a new classification assigned to the same salary range as the previous classification.
