Classroom Observations. 1. The classroom observation shall be used as one important method of evaluating an employee in preparation for the formal evaluation. 2. Observations in the classroom shall be conducted openly and with full knowledge of the unit member. 3. Each observation or series of observations of a unit member shall be followed within five (5) days by a personal conference, if necessary, between the unit member and the evaluator concerning said observation(s). a. Deficiencies and recommendations for improvement in the unit member's performance will be discussed and placed, when appropriate, in writing. An opportunity will be provided the unit member to discuss said deficiencies and recommendations. It shall be the unit member's responsibility to implement the suggestions for improvement. 4. In the event of disagreement with the report of the evaluator, the unit member may attach a written response to the observation report.
