The 'Classroom Time' clause defines the allocation and scheduling of instructional hours that must be provided in an educational setting. Classroom Time. Any on-duty member shall be released from duty to attend any required class scheduled. The member shall be covered with overtime personnel if necessary. Members will not be compensated for class attendance while off-duty.
Classroom Time. The majority of the classroom time will be conducted on duty. Those members who are on duty will be placed onto one of two training companies for the duration of the training day. There may be times where due to holidays, etc. that the normal paramedic training schedule may be altered and a member may be required to attend off duty. These occurrences shall be kept to a minimum and it is anticipated that it will not exceed five- 9-hour days.
Classroom Time. ‌ The Fire/EMS Department will attempt to schedule instructional (classroom) training between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
