Common use of Classroom Visits for Evaluation Clause in Contracts

Classroom Visits for Evaluation. As a part of the summative evaluation, the evaluator shall spend either one 60-minute observation or two 30-minute observations that may occur at any time before the deadline for that particular evaluation period prior to completing the evaluation. The first classroom observation period of a non-tenured teacher shall be scheduled by the evaluator with the teacher at least one (1) day in advance. The evaluator is not required to give prior notice for all other observations. Informal observations may occur throughout the school year as well and may provide basis for feedback informally and in the teacher’s formal evaluation.
