Common use of Cleaners Clause in Contracts

Cleaners. D. 2.3.1 All time worked on Saturday as part of the ordinary hours of work shall be paid for at the rate of time and a half up to 12 noon and double time thereafter: Provided that where a worker commences his/her ordinary hours of work before 10.00 pm on Friday the first eight hours of work shall be paid for at ordinary time rates of wages, even though some hours are worked on Saturday. Nothing in this sub-clause shall apply to the Caretaker's hours of work in D.1.5.3. 2.3.2 All workers shall be paid double time rates for Sunday work required to be performed, with a minimum of three hours. Such rates are instead of, and not in addition to, overtime rates as per clause D.2.3.1.
