Cleaning Protocols. ● The District shall provide custodial support to disinfect surfaces used by students in between different cohorts, and cleaning for high‐touch surfaces. High touch cleaning and thorough disinfection will take place with all classrooms transitioning between Cohort A and Cohort B. The focus on high touch cleaning: door handles and knobs, microwave, refrigerator and kitchen appliance handles, light switches, coffee machines, hand railings, copier, printer, and fax control buttons, elevator buttons, cabinet and file drawer handles, vending machines, breakroom, restaurant and café tables and chairs, chair arms, equipment controls, desks, kitchens and lunchrooms, counter tops, nurses’ offices, front desk and lobby surfaces, and childcare and preschool centers. ● A door hanger will be provided to all classrooms to indicate when a room needs to be cleaned and when cleaning has been completed. ● After a student or staff is sent home with COVID‐19 symptoms, and the District learns of a confirmed case of COVID‐19 currently or previously on District property, the District shall: o Close off areas visited by the ill persons. Open outside doors and windows and use ventilating fans to increase air circulation in the area. Wait 24 hours, or as long as practical, before beginning cleaning and disinfection. o Cleaning staff should clean and disinfect all areas such as offices, bathrooms, common areas, shared electronic equipment (like tablets, touch screens, keyboards, remote controls) used by the ill persons, focusing especially on frequently touched surfaces. o If it has been more than seven (7) days since the person with suspected/confirmed COVID‐19 visited or used the facility, additional cleaning and disinfection is not necessary. ● Each school will designate two spaces for use in the event a class(es) need to move locations for cleaning as defined above. ● Supplies necessary in order to abide by the health and safety protocols within this agreement shall be readily available to all employees in the building. Cleaning supplies include but are not limited to gloves, soap (both hand soap and soap spray bottles), paper towels, hand sanitizer (60% alcohol or higher) and Alpha‐HP spray cleaner.

Cleaning Protocols. MPS shall ensure that all classrooms, restrooms, and workspaces are cleaned and disinfected daily, including but not limited to desks/tables, computer keyboards, doorknobs, light switches, faucets, and other high touch fixtures, using the safest and most effective disinfectant necessary and available, as recommended by federal, state, and/or local health officials. At no time will any non-custodial employee be responsible for the cleaning of school buildings and/or worksites. Workspaces will have posted cleaning schedules that include the date and time of each cleaning. The Joint Labor Management Committee and the MEA will have regular access to all cleaning schedules and logs.

The District shall ensure that all classrooms, restrooms, and workspaces are cleaned and disinfected daily, including but not limited to desks/tables, computer keyboards, doorknobs, light switches, faucets, and other high touch fixtures, using the safest and most effective disinfectant necessary, as recommended by federal, state, and/or local health officials. At no time will any unit member be responsible for the cleaning of school buildings and/or worksites. Each workspace will have a posted cleaning schedule that includes the date and time of each cleaning. Each workspace will also have a posted cleaning schedule for the privately contracted cleaning company that includes the date and time of each cleaning, as well as the initials of the crew member who completed the job. The Joint Labor-Management Health and Safety Committee and the Association will have regular access to all cleaning schedules and logs.

Cleaning Protocols. During the COVID-19 pandemic, enhanced cleaning protocols will be used to minimize transmission risk for our employees and customers. It is important to understand what protocols are in place in our facility in order to assess the level of risk involved in utilizing our facility. Staff and users will need to be satisfied as to the sufficiency of the cleaning protocols in relation to the risks posed by activities in facility. Staff and users need to work cooperatively to support each other in ensuring that everyone understands the risks of their activities. For example, how do people who use our facility move through spaces, use any equipment, and who are they? Are the participants children (likely to need lots of supervision and reminders about touching and hygiene, and more cleaning of walls, equipment, and other items at child height) or seniors or other groups more vulnerable to serious illness. All which may trigger a need for additional enhanced cleaning protocols. Here is what our team will be undertaking:

Cleaning Protocols. Contractors should ensure any offices and job sites implement the cleaning measures of common areas as recommended by the CDC and PHAC. All door handles, railings and personal workstation areas should be wiped down at a minimum of twice a day with a disinfectant, such as disinfectant wipes. Individuals are responsible for cleaning their workstation area with disinfectant wipes. Additional sanitary measures are implemented on site: water stations, a hand washing protocol, hand sanitizer stations, provision of disinfectant wiping products.

Cleaning Protocols. Every occupied office, workspace and classroom will be cleaned and disinfected daily on a consistent assigned schedule, so staff will know when the process is underway and complete.
