Clerical Workers. Employees who regularly devote not less than four hours per day to the writing and calculating incident to keeping records and accounts, rendition of bills, reports and statements, handling of correspondence and similar work.
Clerical Workers. 1. All days school is in session the hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or as arranged in accordance with past practice. This time will include one-half (1/2) hour duty-free lunch period. 2. Days school is not in session including December break, February [mid-winter] break, April [spring] break, Superintendent’s Conference Days (except the first one of the school year) and snow days the hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00
Clerical Workers. Entry level employee where initially work is performed under close direction using established practices, procedures & instructions. Later, work is likely performed under routine supervision and intermittent checking. Typical duties and skills at this level may include: ❖ Directing telephone callers to relevant staff, issuing and receiving standard forms, relaying internal information and greeting visitors, e.g. reception, switchboard. ❖ Maintenance of basic manual and/or computer records. ❖ Filing, recording, matching, checking and batching of accounts, records, invoices, order, store requisitions etc. ❖ Handling, recording or distributing mail including messenger service. ❖ Simple stock control functions within clearly established parameters. ❖ Copy typing and audio typing. Routine operation of office machines & equipment. ❖ Basic use of keyboard operated equipment. Employees who have had sufficient experience and/or training to enable them to carry out assigned duties under limited supervision. Employees are required to exercise judgment and initiative within a broad range of their skills and knowledge. Typical duties and skills at this level may include: ❖ Reception skills as for Level 1, and in addition, responding to enquiries where presentation and the use of interpersonal skills together with the acquisition of sound knowledge of the company’s operations and services. ❖ Filing, recording, matching, checking and batching of accounts, records, invoices, order, store requisitions etc. ❖ Handling, recording or distributing mail including messenger service. ❖ Simple stock control functions within clearly established parameters. ❖ Copy typing and audio typing at 65 words per minute at 98% accuracy. Routine operation of office machines & equipment. ❖ Word Processing to create, format, edit correct, print and save text documents. ❖ Maintenance of records and/or journals including initial processing and recording relating to the following: Reconciliation of accounts balance Incoming/outgoing cheques Invoices Debit/credit items Payroll data ▇▇▇▇▇ cash Correspondence ❖ Secretarial – performing a broad range of clerical functions within this level ❖ Computer applications involving clerical skills at this level, which may include one or more of the flowing functions: Create a database/files/records Spreadsheet/worksheet Graphics Accounting/payroll file following standard procedures ad using existing models.

  • Shift Workers All shift workers (i.e. workers whose shift commences at or after the end of the ordinary day work hours) presenting for work when the temperature is at or over 35°C will remain on site in air conditioned amenities for a minimum two hours, holding themselves available to commence work should the temperature fall below 35°C.

  • Shiftworkers 37.1 Shiftworker for the purposes of this clause is defined as an Employee who performs Shiftwork and who starts or finishes a shift outside of the ordinary hours set out at clause 36.2 above. 37.2 A Shiftworker shall be paid at the rate of double time for all hours worked. 37.3 An Employee who has to work Shiftwork shall be given at least 48 hours of notice of the requirements to work shiftwork. 37.4 For clarity, Shiftwork, means work comprising recurring periods in which different groups of workers do the same jobs in rotation; the different groups of workers do not necessarily need to be employed by the same employer for the purpose of this definition.

  • Independent Contractor; Workers’ Compensation Insurance The Contractor is performing as an independent entity under this Contract. No part of this Contract shall be construed to represent the creation of an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture agreement between the parties. Neither party will assume liability for any injury (including death) to any persons, or damage to any property, arising out of the acts or omissions of the agents, employees or subcontractors of the other party. The Contractor shall provide all necessary unemployment and workers’ compensation insurance for the Contractor’s employees, and shall provide the State with a Certificate of Insurance evidencing such coverage prior to starting work under this Contract.

  • Technicians All other technicians and support personnel will be paid at the Tender rate.

  • Employee Entitlements while on Worker’s Compensation If an Employee is absent from work and is in receipt of worker’s compensation, the Employee’s contract of employment shall remain intact during the period of absence, the Employer shall continue to make contributions on behalf of the Employee to all the Employee Entitlement Funds as outlined in clauses 20 to 23 (inclusive) of this Agreement. The Employee shall also continue to accrue all appropriate leave entitlements for the entire period for which worker’s compensation is in receipt.
