CLOSURE AGREEMENT Lay-off Procedure. The Company will follow the provisions of the “Employment Standards Act” (ESA) with regard to layoff, or provide 30 days notice of termination, whichever is greater. Employees with the greatest seniority will be offered the opportunity to voluntarily accept layoffs, as it becomes necessary to reduce the workforce in any classification and receive all applicable entitlements specified in this agreement. The Company will cooperate in dealing with Employment and Social Development Canada and applicable Federal Ministry(s) to ensure no loss of employment insurance eligibility for layoff out of seniority. Where the guidelines detailed above have been exhausted, the provisions of Article #13 shall be followed.
