Compensation for Work on Holidays. An employee who is required to work on a holiday and who meets the eligibility requirements contained herein shall receive, in addition to the employee's regular pay, time off for each hour worked at the rate of time and one-half; provided, however, that with the approval of the District Manager the employee may receive pay for each hour worked at the rate of time and one-half. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Such request of Holiday pay shall be reported to CalPERS as special compensation.
