Common use of Competency Criteria Clause in Contracts

Competency Criteria. The competency criteria to serve in the Faculty Service Area shall either be a valid California Community College Credential or the Minimum Qualifications as listed in the State minimum qualifications established by the Statewide Academic Senate, or an equivalency as recommended by an Equivalency Committee and approved by the Board of Trustees. a. The disciplines in which the unit member holds minimum qualifications shall be maintained in the unit member’s personnel file. b. A unit member may establish additional minimum qualifications upon meeting and verifying through transcripts that the unit member meets the minimum qualifications for that discipline.
