Computer Technician. A Computer Technician shall be a qualified employee assigned to the installation, trouble- shooting, modification, and repair of stand-alone and specified networked computers, including desktops, laptops, and hubs along with legacy equipment. Computer Technicians may also be assigned the installa- tion of software and associated activities as determined by the Company. Computer Technicians install, trouble- shoot, modify and repair stand-alone and networked peripheral equipment including, but not limited to, boarding pass readers, magnetic swipe readers, ticket printers, bagtag printers, scanning equipment, laser printers, impact printers, modems, and other electronic devices as assigned by the Company. Computer Technicians assist with the installation of various net- workdevices, byinstallingservers, routersandswitches, and verifying pre-installed software. Computer Technicians work with distributed Systems Support groups to provide initial cursory troubleshooting of net- work servers, routers and switches. Computer Technicians shall not perform any work presently per- formed by Ground Communications Technicians. Computer Technicians shall be subject tocall at any time and shall be required to travel to the extent necessary to accomplish their work. A Computer Technician who has completed his probationary period may, in addition to his work and responsibilities as a Computer Technician, be required to provide on the job training to an employee of the same classification on jobs, but shall not perform the work of a Lead Computer Technician in leading and directing the work of other employees.
