WORK DAY/WORK YEAR Clause Samples
The WORK DAY/WORK YEAR clause defines the standard hours and days that constitute a typical workday and work year for employees covered by the agreement. It typically specifies the number of hours in a workday, the days of the week considered as workdays, and the total number of workdays or hours in a work year, sometimes accounting for holidays, breaks, or special schedules. This clause ensures both employers and employees have a clear understanding of expected working time, helping to prevent disputes over scheduling and overtime, and providing a basis for calculating pay and leave entitlements.
