Common use of Continuing Education Program Clause in Contracts

Continuing Education Program. Each employee with written approval of the Employer and the County Director of Employee Relations, may participate in educational assistance programs established by the County for job-related studies, as long as the funds are available. The initial tuition cost will be shared by the County and the Employee. Upon appropriate appeal, the County will pay the entire tuition in hardship cases. The Employer and employee will agree on the educational program and upon successful' completion grade. Upon completion of such program and the attainment of such grade, the County will reimburse the employee for that portion of tuition cost not initially paid by the County. However, only one course per semester per student will be allowed.
