Common use of Core Hours Clause in Contracts

Core Hours. a. Each employee on an FWS is expected to be available during the core time of 9:00 a. m. – 2:30 p.m. on scheduled workdays and to fulfill the commitment to account for a full 80-hour bi-weekly period. Supervisors will make reasonable efforts to accommodate employees’ requests for lunch breaks during this time. If lunch breaks are taken, they will normally be scheduled between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. If possible, supervisors will not schedule meetings during lunch breaks. Employees are expected to be present as agreed upon in the FWS and accurately document daily attendance in the ATAAPS system. Part-time employees and employees under special training agreements are expected to conform to their agreed upon schedules. b. An FWS may start as early as 6:00 a.m. and end as late as 6:00 p.m.
