COVENANTS AND REPRESENTATIONS OF THE BORROWER Sample Clauses

The "Covenants and Representations of the Borrower" clause sets out the promises and factual statements made by the borrower to the lender in a loan agreement. This typically includes assurances that the borrower has the authority to enter into the agreement, is not in default under other obligations, and will comply with certain ongoing requirements such as maintaining insurance or providing financial statements. By clearly outlining these commitments and disclosures, the clause helps ensure the lender has accurate information and legal assurances, thereby reducing the risk of default or misrepresentation.
