COVID-19 Testing. a. The employer will continue to provide symptomatic and surveillance COVID-19 testing during Summer 2021. The employer will continue to test students, faculty, and staff as has been established during the Fall and Spring semesters. b. Employees and students who have tested positive for COVID-19 shall not return to face- to-face classroom instruction until receiving authorization and guidance from a health provider or a Public Health Department. c. The employer shall provide periodic updates during days of normal university operations of positive COVID-19 cases within the student, faculty, and staff via the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. d. Wastewater testing will continue in collaboration with the Kishwaukee Water Reclamation District and will provide a longitudinal, broad surveillance of trends and potential spikes in SARS-CoV-2 incidence on campus and the city of DeKalb. e. Bargaining unit members included in surveillance testing protocols are required to comply with testing requirements.
