Crewing. In order to ensure the implementation of the 6-day schedule, the Company and the Union agree to review the appropriate staffing requirements and determine the number of postings and support postings required. The rules established will be built on the premise that the 4th crew will be a permanent posting. When the 6-day schedule finishes and the crews return to a 5x8 schedule, the most senior employees will fill the required shifts on the 5x8 schedule. The junior employees will be layed off. On the 6-day schedule, an employee will receive 40 hours pay for 36 hours worked on the employee’s regularly scheduled shift. This will be accomplished by paying the employee at the regular straight time rate of pay, plus a premium, for each hour worked on the 6-day schedule. All hours worked outside of the regularly scheduled 6-day schedule shifts will be paid at overtime rates per the Collective Agreement, namely: double the regular straight time of pay (2x) on Sundays, and time and one half (1.5x) the regular straight time of pay for any other hour worked. For clarity, “regular straight time of pay” does not include any 6-day schedule premium. Overtime shall be paid at a rate of one and one half (1.5) times the regular straight time rate for: -all hours worked in excess of thirty-six (36) hours -all work performed on recognized plant holidays Double time will be paid for overtime on Sunday as defined by 24 hours beginning Sunday 7:00
