Curriculum, Assessments and Instructional Programs. 32 29.6.1 Sufficient materials, time and professional development will be provided to 33 teachers for the successful implementation and teaching of any new or 34 updated adoptions including, but not limited to, curriculum, assessments 1 and/or instructional programs (including intervention programs). A 2 comprehensive district-wide curriculum adoption (e.g. Math, Reading, 3 Writing) may need a multi-year roll-out in order to prepare and support 4 certificated staff in the new curriculum, assessment, and/or instructional 5 programs. Implementation expectations during a multi-year roll-out will not 6 exceed the materials and training that the District has provided at any given 7 time. Professional development shall be offered prior to the implementation 8 of new curriculum, standards, or reporting requirements. 9 29.6.2 Non-supervisory certificated staff shall be involved in all new and updated 10 adoptions of instructional materials in accordance with existing District policy 11 and state law. 12 29.6.3 Regular and ongoing labor/management meetings are an appropriate forum to 13 discuss workload implications of any new or updated adoptions in curriculum, 14 assessments, and/or instructional programs.
