Common use of Date of Effect Clause in Contracts

Date of Effect. If a majority of those employees who cast a valid vote decide that they want to approve the agreement, the agreement will be approved. The agreement will take effect from the date of issue of a Declaration Receipt. A copy of the filing receipt will be provided to each employee. This Agreement shall operate for a period of five years form the date it comes into effect unless terminated sooner by the effect of a provision of the Act.
