The Deduction from Sick Leave clause establishes the employer's right to subtract days or hours from an employee's allotted sick leave when the employee is absent due to illness. Deduction from Sick Leave. A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of paid holidays) absent for sick leave.
