Definition of Regular Straight Time Rate of Pay. For the purposes of calculating any benefit or money pay- ment under this Agreement to which an employee is entitled, the regular straight time' rate of pay is that prescribed in Wage Schedule of this Agreement. Authorized leave of absence for Union business and statu- tory holidays shall be considered as time worked for the purpose of computing overtime pay under section Full-time employees who report for any scheduled shift will be at least four hours of work, or, if no work is be paid at least four hours except when work is not available, due to conditions beyond the control of the hospital. The reporting allowance outlined as herein shall not apply whenever an employee has received not less than one prior notice not to report for work. An employee who is required to remain available for duty on standby, outside the normal working hours for that particular employee, shall receive standby pay in the amount of per hour for all hours on standby. Standby pay shall, however, cease where an employee is called work, and works period of standby. Employees shall be paid retroactive to October a shift premium of forty-five cents (45 cents) per hour for all hours worked where the majority of their scheduled hours fall between and hours. Where an Employer temporarily assigns an employee to carry out the assigned responsibilities of a higher paying classifica- tion outside the bargaining unit for a period in excess of one- half of one shift, the employee shall receive an allowance of three dollars for each shift from the time of the assignment.
