Common use of Deletion or Return of Data Clause in Contracts

Deletion or Return of Data. Upon termination or expiry of the Master Subscription Agreement, Granicus shall destroy all Data (including all copies of the Data) in its possession or control, except as otherwise stated in the Master Subscription Agreement. This requirement shall not apply to the extent that Granicus is required by any applicable law to retain some or all of the Data, or to Data it has archived on back-up systems, in which event Granicus shall isolate and protect the Data from any further processing except to the extent required by such law until deletion is possible.
