DEPARTMENT CHAIR REASSIGNED TIME Sample Clauses
The Department Chair Reassigned Time clause establishes the allocation of reduced teaching or administrative duties for department chairs to allow them to fulfill their leadership responsibilities. Typically, this means that a department chair will have a portion of their usual workload—such as teaching hours—reduced or replaced with time dedicated to administrative tasks, meetings, and departmental oversight. This clause ensures that department chairs have sufficient time to manage departmental affairs effectively, addressing the challenge of balancing administrative duties with other professional obligations.
