Design Standards. Agency and State agree that minimum design standards on all local agency jurisdictional roadway or street projects on the National Highway System (NHS) and projects on the non-NHS shall be the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standards and be in accordance with State’s Oregon Bicycle & Pedestrian Design Guide (current version). State or its consultant shall use either AASHTO’s A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets (current version) or State’s Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (3R) design standards for 3R projects. State or its consultant may use AASHTO for vertical clearance requirements on Agency’s jurisdictional roadways or streets.
