Determination of Layoffs. The Company will determine the timing of layoffs, the number of employees to be laid off, and in which job classifications layoffs will be affected. Affected employees referenced in 8.2(a), above will be offered, if their seniority permits and are qualified, a reclassification to any equal or lower grade job classification previously held. A uniform reduction in the number of hours scheduled in a workweek for all employees in a job classification shall not constitute a layoff.
