Division Head Level Clause Samples
Division Head Level. If the complaint remains unresolved after discussion with the immediate supervisor and it involves an alleged violation of the provisions of this Agreement, the Union representative shall reduce the grievance to writing and submit it to the division head within fourteen (14) calendar days of the occurrence of the condition which gave rise to the grievance. The employee and the Union representative shall sign the grievance form. The written grievance shall set forth the nature of the grievance, the date of the violation, the identity of the employee(s) involved, by name when known, the provisions of this Agreement the Union claims have been violated and the remedy requested. The division head or his/her designated representative will promptly arrange a meeting with the grievant and his/her Union representative to review the grievance and render a decision, in writing, within seven (7) calendar days of the meeting. The decision rendered at Step 2 shall be final and the grievance shall be considered settled on the basis of the decision unless an appeal is made, in writing, within seven (7) calendar days of the division head's decision.
Division Head Level. A. If the matter is not settled in Step 1, the grievance shall be written by the chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and must contain:
1. Name or names of employees involved in grievance, location, seniority, pension number, classification, shift and department.
2. Union policy grievance.
B. The nature of grievance complaint:
1. Unjustly dealt with.
2. Contract violation specifying provisions of contract violated.
3. Disciplinary action.
4. Others (specify)
