Common use of Drywall Clause in Contracts

Drywall. For one (1) year after the Date of Warranty, Seller will repair all cracks, screw pops, cracked or exposed corner bead, trowel marks, excess joint compound, or blisters in drywall tape. Painting will be touched up to match as closely as possible, provided that the original paint is a standard in the project and has not been repainted with some other color. Hairline cracks are not unusual, and the repair of cracks not exceeding 1/16-inch in width is not required under the applicable Construction Performance Guidelines; nonetheless, Seller agrees to repair hairline cracks, provided that all items shall be aggregated in one punch list and repair visit at the end of the one year Limited Warranty coverage. To the extent that Buyer requires immediate repair of a particular drywall defect covered under this provision, there shall be a separate charge for additional visits.
