Electrical Connector Type. All electrical connector’s that are used on contractor designed harnesses shall be a member of the MIL-DTL-5015, Connectors, Electrical, Circular Threaded, AN Type, or MIL-DTL-83723 – Crimp, Rear Release, MIL-DTL- 38999, Crimp Rear Release, or MIL-DTL-26482 – Crimp, Rear Release Contacts, unless approved by the Government or required by the test article’s interface. Pins shall be crimp type, rear release. The use of solder cup type connectors is discouraged. Connectors used in the test cell area shall be environmentally sealed.
