Common use of Eligibility of Applicants Clause in Contracts

Eligibility of Applicants. All Probationers are eligible to qualify as Fire Fighters. All Senior (First Class) Fire Fighters are eligible to qualify as Lieutenants. Lieutenants and acting Lieutenants are eligible to qualify as Captains and Captains are eligible to qualify as Assistant Chiefs. In all cases, the number of applicants accepted will be limited to one hundred and fifty percent (150%) of, in the opinion of the Fire Chief, from the date of the posting of the notice of examination.

In all casesfor a position shall not exceed two hundred percent (200%) of the foreseeable vacancy or vacancies, the number however, in case of applicants accepted only one (1) vacancy occurring, not fewer than three (3) employees will be limited permitted to one hundred and fifty percent (150%) of, in the opinion of the Fire Chief, from the date of the posting of the notice of examinationapply.
